Our Vision

Our vision is to be home to a fun learning environment where every child knows that they are loved, respected and encouraged. We want to ignite a passion for learning and development in children, providing them with the highest quality of care and education, most of all we want to help them grow into confident, independent and sociable people. We want to help them explore and discover new ideas, helping them learn for themselves and develop their own interests.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

We pride ourselves in being a fully inclusive preschool where everyone is welcome and we engage with the Access and Inclusion Model (AIM) which is supported by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. We have access to expert advice from Early Years Specialists and we work hard to ensure targeted supports are in place to ensure every child can participate meaningfully in Kickstart.

We now have a very functional and wonderful sensory room in Kickstart. We encourage all children to use this so no child feels excluded and who doesn’t like some time out exploring the amazing room . This has been a huge sucess over the last two years, even the teacher love having a little time out !!

Just to explain a little, Time in a sensory room helps children improve their visual, auditory and tactile processing, as well as fine and gross motor skills. By providing a sense of calm and comfort, sensory rooms help children learn to self-regulate, which ultimately improves focus.

Programmes

We are delighted to operate a play-based preschool where all our activities are based around the children’s individual needs and interests in both the indoor and outdoor environment. We are committed to providing every child within our care a high-quality care and education guided by the principles of Siolta and the National Curriculum Framework Aistear. We recognise how important high-quality early childhood experiences can be in children’s lives, right through to adulthood.

Our Afterschool Club is a home away from home where we supervise homework and have lots of fun activities and where each child is unique and treasured.

We offer three levels of our curriculum

Our Puppies class provide a nurturing and caring environment for your little ones. Our teachers are carefully selected to be loving and knowledgeable in the care of your little ones, sometimes overlapping with the first year ECCEs.

Our chimps is a fantastic place to develop and explore! Our children are given opportunities to learn how to have exciting and fun classroom experiences, as they learn to share, ask questions, help their friends, participate in fun activities and recognise their own needs. Independence is learned through lots of free play, guided play activities as well as whole class group lessons. We assist with potty training and help them prepare for the second year of their ECCE Curriculum.

Our Joeys, and Bunnies are classrooms full of fun and learning through play. Children will go on all sorts of adventures through play, learning basic maths concepts, enhancing their vocabulary, science experiments and not to forget lots of messy play, storytimes, Art and Crafts, gross and fine motor practice, name recognition and so much more. Finally leaving us as happy capable confident learners to begin their new journey in Primary School equipped with a wonderful love of learning.

Our Afterschool Club is going from strength to strength, we are now running three Afterschool Classes , The Chicks , Busy Bees and Kittens. We love to watch the children thrive through the years
